No one is born a great jazz singer. But you can become one by learning the craft.

We often look at masters like Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan in complete awe - their command of their instrument, fluid scat and depth of emotional phrasing are breathtaking. The sound of their voices is unmistakable and oozes jazz. We tend to forgot that it took them years of practicing their technique and musicianship that made them the greats that they were.

What if I told you that you can learn those techniques and find you natural jazz sound too?

Technique is easy to learn, if you know what steps to follow. If you're willing to do the work I can show you what they are. I don't want you to spend years looking. That is why I have created this brand new 4-week course, which I am now running for the first time.

Here's what people have said that have worked with me:

Here's what my students have achieved following my singing method:

  • Get the sound you desire: YOUR natural (jazz) sound
  • Be able to trust your voice won't fail you, so you can be free and in the moment when you sing and improvise
  • Expand your range and gain low and high notes
  • Smoothly connect the bottom and top of your voice without any breaks or straining
  • Sing high and low notes with as much power or as softly as you choose
  • Improve your intonation and vocal agility to better scat sing
  • Master your vibrato and learn how to use it in jazz
  • Coming from another style? Discover how to sing jazz authentically and build on your classical/choir/ musical theater/pop/RnB/gospel background instead of being limited by it

After our 4 weeks together, this is what you will walk away with:

  • Eliminated the guess-work of what and how to practice by having an easy to follow process and specific exercise routines
  • Know why issues occur in your voice and how to fix them

Are you ready to reach vocal freedom?

Hi, I'm Heidi.

I am deeply passionate about jazz and helping you find your way to sing it with freedom and having fun doing it!

Vocal technique is so rarely talked about and properly taught in jazz. I wanted to create a method that empowers jazz singers to express whatever is in their heart and minds with freedom and ease.

Poor technique was one of my biggest limitations for a long time – and I started taking lessons when I was 11 years old, went on to get two Master Degrees in Jazz Performance and have successfully performed and recorded on three continents… You would think at some point someone would have introduced me to good singing technique – and believe me I have searched high and low for it!

It took me years to finally find teachers that helped me expand my range, hit notes with any volume I like, become more vocally agile and flexible, so I can also sing fast complicated lines easily and most importantly express all my feelings and music with my voice with ease and no pain. Yes, singing for a long time was a painful experience for me. Add singing six nights a week at a club and talking to the audience during breaks – it’s the perfect recipe for vocal damage.

Fortunately, it didn’t get to that. My over 25 years of performing, teaching and voice training helped me developed my own singing method which I now teach to my students. It gives you very fast results and at the same time ensures vocal health. As much as I like the freedom it has brought to my own singing, I love seeing what it does for my students – making them smart, competent jazz singers who know how to use their voices to get across what they want to express effortlessly.

Join me in this FREE 4-week course and get to know my technique that has helped hundreds of students find their jazz voice and vocal freedom.

Who is this course for?

This course is ideal for singers of all levels who want to find vocal freedom in their jazz singing, so they can fully be in the moment when singing and improvising on or off the stage.

This is equally applicable for singers just starting out as well as experienced pros and voice teachers who are trained in another style or technique (classical/musical theater/pop/rock/blues/RnB) and now want to find their authentic jazz sound.

You only must be able to match pitch and sing a song without the help of any accompaniment.
